I made the comment about the Lady of the Lake because someone confirmed that she was actually going to be in an episode this season. Which I think is exciting. But there sources could be wrong, since they also suggested that she would be a love interest for Merlin...hmm.
About Tristan...I've always wondered why Arthur never asked any questions then. Did he not know Tristan was his uncle? Did he not wonder why Tristan wanted to kill Uther for the death of his mother? In that instance, I really felt like Arthur knew absolutely nothing about his mother or his life or anything family related things at all. Which might be why he freaks out in this episode and is determined to have some questions/answers for a change.
Maybe Tristan had a daughter named Morgause in this series, so maybe she's a cousin.
And Gaius knows about Arthur and Nimueh and Uther. But I feel like anyone else who knew about Arthur's birth was put to death. I wouldn't put that past Uther.
